Hybrid customer journey map

As UX lead of a certain project, I created a hybrid of a process map and a customer journey map in order to simplify many facets of information about an intricate process schools that teach the International Baccalaureate (IB) schools conduct every year.

While customer journey maps focus on the customer journey, this map focuses on the process and the many roles involved in it and a whole lot more. I find process maps too dry, they can’t be really used as a tool to evoke empathy. That’s the reason I decided to take many an element out of the customer journey map and merge it with the process map, which resulted in the creation of this hybrid process journey map.

How does it fare? According to customers I am conducting validatory exercises with for this project, it was very well received and validated. In their words, its comprehensive and easy to understand at the same time, and being asked for a copy of it makes me feel certain that they’re not just being polite.

What language is this?
Just in case you’re wondering what language that is, I’ve scrambled the textual content so I can share this artefact as both part of my portfolio as well as a new UX deliverable, without sharing any sensitive information.
