For my capstone project, I rebranded my favourite store Robinsons Bookshop. This was a great opportunity for myself as I got the chance to express my love and passion for reading and how it improves my daily life, and hope to encourage others to pick up a book. The aim of this rebrand was to achieve a natural and calm identity to which can provide comfort and security to the audience during covid restrictions.
Beginning with logo development and refinement, I ended with the logo on the right.
Below shows the brands style guide which features 5 colours, the typeface and secondary elements. The elements helped generate a cohesive brand throughout and made everything fit together nicely.
Starting off with the brands promotional items, I decided I wanted to generate items that would flow together and make sense to be purchased and seen in a bookstore. I developed a bookmark, tissue paper, a sticker and a tote bag.
I went through the free website builder Wix.com to develop the page. The process was quite easy as Wix provides free templates for multiple uses.
Ensuring I was developing a promotional platform for upcoming products, I decided to create multiple Instagram layouts as it is an extremely popular app to use.
Greeting cards and 3 8x10 prints that can be purchased within the store.
Above is the hot chocolate label I developed which will feature in The Book Box. I decided to create something that the buyer could use whilst reading, providing a comforting drink.
This candle will also be featured in The Book Box along with the hot chocolate packet. Going along with the left aligned text to create cohesive 3D packaging.
The Book Box is the main product featured within the new and refreshed brand identity. This was introduced as a subscription box which customers are able to purchase online and was an incentive to covid 19. This was created to ensure customers had something fun to receive in the mail which provided them comfort and coziness during a tough time having to stay at home. The box features the products above.
