Arataki Visitor Centre, a group project I was part of. 

With our design, we aim to create a visitor centre which not only shows off the natural beauty of the native forest outside but intertwines it with the cultural and historical significance of the Waitakere Ranges. We focused on how a visitor would interact with our proposed space: by being still in an open room (or outside) and occupy their day by taking in their surroundings and educating themselves on the memories the land and the Tangata Whenua hold.
