Start2Rent version 2.0
A collaboration project with UKAA (the organisation for the UK Build to Rent sector, to find out the better living conditions is their goal.)
With the reintroduce of PSW visa, there will be a large number of graduates who will need to rent a house after graduation. After we researched the composition of the current BTR sector households. This group is currently missing. We use this as a starting point and opportunity to think about how to introduce BTR to this group by helping them land in a role in the UK for now and become long-term loyal users in the future.
We found some renting information in a Facebook group where students searching for rooms and roommates. The average rent we can see here is around 800 per month.
Compared to the BTR development, the lowest price is from £1732 per month to 1890 per month in zone 4.
What does affordability means to graduates?
Apart from the professional management services, they really value and enjoy the community culture that BTR has created,
The relationship between firefighters is very close and tight. Furthermore, they support and take care of each other.
The response to the crisis and work-life balance events contribute to the great and positive community culture, among all of those BTR values, we found out these highlighted three can be unnecessarily attached to BTR developments.
So we wondered, why don’t we make everywhere BTR? Why don’t we apply this package to even non-BTR tenants?
For users' exploring phase, we plan to pass on the BTR lifestyle to non-BTR tenants by providing an upgrading rental living solution, such as rent furniture or appliances or some social opportunities, etc. Later on, when they are ready to take the next step in renting. At this point, we will help them to transfer into their future BTR home smoothly.
