Each year Casa da Música Foundation invaiting 4 different artist to participate with visuals for they new Education service program. This year i was invited to take part with 3 other artist's.
Fundação Casa da Música (Casa da Musica Foundation) is an institution of public interest governed by private law, established by the Portuguese State and the Municipality of Porto, joined by the Private Founders. It is governed by its statutes set out in Decree-Law No. 18/2006 of January 26th. This model was considered ideal to enhance Casa da Música's principles of autonomy, flexibility, stability and professionalism.
The Foundation aims at promoting, fostering, disseminating and carrying out cultural activities as well as training in the field of music.
It is structured around three organs: Board of Trustees , Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.

Every year we receive hundreds of students, and not only, in these rehearsals performed by the Porto Casa da Música Symphony Orchestra.The door is open to anyone who wants to watch the final tests of major works and discover how an orchestra works, how sounds are combined, how to decode gestures. Before each rehearsal - open access - we produce a script, so that the public can know and know better what they are going to hear.

It is a tool that enables daily musical listening, framing the themes it makes available in events or ephemeris inscribed in the civil calendar. A didactic and fun way of relating music to history, which has transcended the school context for which it was designed over time, presently assuming an important role in the social networks of Casa da Música.

Exploring the timeless sounds and inexhaustible sounds of gamelan, a traditional Indonesian instrument from the island of Java, is the purpose of this ensemble, which, composed of musicians from the city, has already created several shows for the Educational Service of Casa da Música.

Musical instrument that uses a three-dimensional sensor and open-source software developed by Worten Digitpia, Sonorium allows you to transform space into sound. When occupied by the public, several points in the Orange Room trigger different sounds, and thus it becomes possible to create music through movement and interaction with the space, in groups or individually.

We take the House with us around the world, making the educational projects that take place here known to all interested parties: our workshops, our shows, our training. Over the past eight years, there have been many requests for us to travel and, if Casa da Música is now recognized nationally and internationally as a reference in the area of education, as a formative, producing and creative structure of artistic content.
