Branding & Marketing
Web Banner presenting an empowered woman owned brand
Challenge
Cynthias with the Good Hair started in 2016, after listening to customers feedback and their experiences with wigs. Whilst it was possible to purchase wigs, the hair quality was bad. This is where the name was born with the idea to combine both selling lace wigs and fitting at the same time.

Whilst the idea for a great brand was there, there was no logo, no marketing campaigns, no brand guidelines and nothing to communicate brand values and consistency.

Originally, we began just working on increasing social media engagement which was proving to be a lot simpler when there was the basis of a strong brand to work with.

Solution
To elevate the brand, it needed an injection of sugar & spice, turning a hair salon into a boss lady brand. We worked on target audience to clarify what messaging would communicate best and brand guidelines to use across website design and social media channels.
Brand Guidelines
Branding Decisions
• Fonts:
Georgia + Akzidenz Grotesk - Communicating a sophisticated yet modern tone
• Colours:
- Pantone Colour of the Year 2016 (the year the business was born)
- Pantone Colour of the Year 2020 (the year we started branding)
• Logo:
It was important for the client to stick with the name they had decided on and being a salon for women wanting to transform their look, we wanted to create something classic, timeless and fun. The circular shape representing a salon mirror and connecting all of us globally, no matter of our shape, colour or form.

Results
With new visual branding and social media strategies, Cynthias gained more traction and clients than it ever has before.
"Whatever you have done, it's working as the last 3 posts
got over 1000 likes and it usually only gets up to 300"
