Digital Security Standard identity

Context
The problem of digital space influencing on reality we live in is an old and well-known subject, but still, its too ephemeral even for the experienced users of the web. From the moment of computers escaping research centers, the society has started controversies about positive and negative outcomes of the trends. Nowadays we have plenty of facts of digital invasion into our privacy: annoying spam calls, targeted ads, international scandal of Cambridge Analytica manipulations during USA 2016 presidential elections.

Challenge
In some cases digital space is generally protected by law, but to the society it is almost impossible to fully understand the the subject. I think, it is important for people to being able to navigate in this immaterial context, to understand their rights. So the main subject of this work is the digital security standard. “All Clear” (analog: Energy Star in the energy efficiency field).

Digital Security Standard "All clear"
Marker of responsibility in handling user data and also a sign, that user can trust the associated site. The main goal of the brand — is to be a guide in a complicated digital world, that’s why the image of cyber machine-agent has emerged, it informs the human world, and in case of secure connection it signals: “All Clear!”.
Logo
The main symbol of the brand is abbreviation "ALL CLEAR" which looks like an abstract pixelated cipher. The symbol and the logo are made of display font, that I developed myself. Proportions of the letters and minimal spacing transform words into shapes rather than legible objects, designed for quick reading.

Pattern
This font is capable of not only creating typographical compositions, but also building graphics. Knowing the fact, that all the information that is being put into digital world converts to binary data, the pattern, generated from zeros and ones has emerged.

Standard "All clear"
“All Clear” is a seal of quality, that digital product is marked with. Any service or organization can receive it, if it can prove its compatibility with the standard and if it shares the core value of the brand — ethical approach to user’s data. Slogan of the brand: “your information — your secret”. In case of successful certification, company can put the seal on it’s web page — that’s how ordinary user can distinguish ethical digital space, that he can trust giving his information to, without any consequences.

Manifesto and posters
Printed digital security manifesto is one click away. Therefore, values of the digital standard can easily be brought to material reality. The collection of printed posters is an example of a brand, expressed beyond computer screen.

Urban interventions
Not only data is collected about people every day. We don't even know on how many cameras were recorded and by whom. Therefore, the standard goes out into the city and marks places of the information gathering with pattern. The graphics doesn`t show the camera coverage, it is a symbol that attracts attention to the problem of total information collection. Considering the speculativeness of the digital space, one of the most important tasks of identity was to enter the real space to present the problem clearly.

Uniform
A collection of "ALL CLEAR" items allows you to hide from the close surveillance of the digital world. Hiding uniform "all clear" is not just items of a covering nature — it`s a way to broadcast your attitude to the problem of digital security and human rights in the digital space.
