As a human being I feel that each one of us strives to achieve a higher goal in life, some aspire for fame others for fortune, perhaps love, or spirituality, maybe negative goals as well such as revenge… the list is endless.
In trying to obtain our goals I feel we are (hopefully) attempting to better ourselves and become someone better. These geometric paintings are to serve as a reminder of our flawed beauty. From a distance we all try to project an image of serene and perfect harmony but like these painting, upon closer inspection our flaws become more apparent and we realize the harmony is an illusion of our attempts to better ourselves and achieve ¨perfection¨.
