Ciudad de Mexico

Ciudad de Mexico

A visit to Mexico City was one of my most impressive trips so far. At first I was a little unsure how to get around the huge city on my own, but I soon realized that the great and inexpensive metro system allows you to move quickly and safely through the city and experience its diverse neighborhoods. With small, not very valuable camera equipment you don't immediately present yourself as a victim to be robbed. A simple Sony NEX-5 with kit lens did a great job. I was fascinated by the richness of facets, the glaring contrasts between modernity and tradition, but also between poor and rich. The city has a vast number of outstanding cultural monuments of the indigenous people but also of the colonial and modern times, but also the life in the streets and on the markets is full of motives.
