Considered one of the most famous houses in the world, Casa da Cascata (in English: Fallingwater house) or Casa Kaufmann (family name of its first owner) is a residence located 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, in Bear Run, on the Road Rural 1, Mill Run section of Stewart Township, Fayette County, in the Laurel Highlands of the Allegheny Mountains, State of Pennsylvania, United States.

The building was designed in 1934 by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright, considered the introducer of modern architecture in his country, and built in 1936 in the rural southwest of Pennsylvania. However, its main characteristic is the fact that it was partially erected over a small waterfall, using the natural elements present there (such as stones, vegetation and the water itself) as constituents of the architectural composition. Like many other works by Wright, it was built with experimental materials for the time.
