I was rewarded the commission to design and create the Ner Tamid (Eternal Light) for a new chapel at Temple Sinai in Oakland, CA.  In Jewish tradition the Ner Tamid represents several things;  one of which is God's eternal light and presence.  A crucible form straining to contain that light is what inspired this piece.  The resulting cast bronze form is a vessel pierced by an intense internal energy.

I also worked with project architect Michael Harris to design and create the Torah Table for the chapel.  The horizontal lines of the "curtain" around the base of the table create a material continuity and balance with the walls and ceiling of the space.

In addition, I assisted in fabricating the Ark Doors.
