Kaspersky Secure Future - Cybersecurity diversity gap
With cybersecurity skills in short supply, why are women struggling in the career?
Attitudes toward women in cybersecurity are slowly changing,
but there are things women can do today to grease the wheels of their careers.
We were contacted by Kaspersky -  Secure Future to illustrate the Headline illustration for the article "With cybersecurity skills in short supply, why are women struggling in the career?".
The article talks and highlights two topics about women inclusion in the cybersecurity industry.

The first point is about the several challenges there are for women to work in the cybersecurity industry, due to gender inequalities, no support from woman to woman and self-limits starting for the belief that science and math subjects are not for women.

The second highlight the value of the range of advantages about including women into the industry. Because their soft skill and vision could find new solutions to cyber-attacks and cybersecurity, and so, increase the quality and the results regarding cybersecurity services.
The illustration is focused on the optimistic view of the post, to stimulate and suggest a vision where women are more included in the society, whatever the context is.
The concept borns by the metaphor of mountain climbing (the difficulties that women face when entering this sector); however, the illustration shows success and achievement, the problem of the gender gap has been solved. Now we see our protagonists, with a positive attitude at the peak of the mountain, ready and prepared to contribute their vision and solutions, to work as a team and give each other support — a new dawn of a digital world.
