Dance Company - New Logo and Website Revamp
Nahualli is a registered Non-Profit Organization established in Vancouver, BC Canada, since 2010. Its purpose is to represent and share Mexican Culture through dance. They provide Mexican Dance shows throughout Metro Vancouver.
The Previous Website
When I got together with the people of Nahualli, they already had a established brand in Canada. However, they wanted me to refresh and modernize their website and their logo, to project a fresher image for their business.
The Previous Logo
The name Nahualli (Nah-Wall-e) originates from an indigenous language of Mexico called Nahuatl (Nah-Wah-til), which signifies 'Animal Spirit' or 'Transforming Power' that protects and guides each person from the moment of birth.
One aboriginal hieroglyph below was taken in its original representation as carved in stone in Mexican ancient ruins, and then transposed into digital format as a vector image.
I initially wanted to synthesize the logo but the Nahualli team wanted to honour the millennial art so we agreed to a recreation using outline and symmetry.
I looked up to the same ancient Mexican art.
In most of the depictions, I found some variations of: Green, Yellow, Red, and Brown. From there I gave my clients (all Mexican) 4 options for them to choose the one who would represent better the spirit of Nahualli, and the culture of their country.
And that's how the final logo and the new color identity (Option 4) were defined and applied to their new website. I also provided versions in black and white so they could apply the logo in lighter or darker backgrounds respectively for their Marketing activities.

The New Website
I migrated all the content to a new website with a new and modern template using WordPress as CMS, and plugins for SEO and Social Media sharing.
An SEO Audit was conducted to determine the keywords that would allow the new website to rank higher in Google's SERP. Those were applied at Page Title, H1, H2, Meta-description, and Alt-Text levels. All digital properties: Website, Facebook Page, Instagram, and Twitter Account were fed with same contact information for NAP Consistency and SEO boost; along with a social plugin that would post in the Gallery Page, images parsed directly from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. A LinkedIn Page was created and handed over to the client for their use in promotion of corporate events.
Since then, the website has been under new management but it keeps appearing on Top of key searches thanks to the SEO work previously done, and the new branding still keeps as current on their Social Media.
