Early Summer 2019, I posted a fan art to my instagram featuring Ross O'Donovan (RubberNinja) styled as a character from the WiiU/3DS game "Super Mario Maker". The goal was to match the rendering/key art style as the game itself, and to celebrate the upcoming release of the sequel, "Super Mario Maker 2". Shortly after posting, I was commissioned by Ross himself to create some animations with the character for his Mario-related Twitch streams. Soon enough, Jirard Khalil
"The Completionist" commissioned me for the same thing!
The project was a great opportunity to explore character animation, something I had little experience with, as well as creating modular integration between the two clients in the event of collaborations. While providing Ross and Jirard with their own individual animations, below is an example of how they worked when streaming together.
