SUMMER 82 WHEN ZAPPA CAME TO SICILY
Official Selection Venice Film Festival 2013
30 years ago a concert in the Palermo's Stadium ended among riots and teargas. In 1983 this image became the cover of the Frank Zappa's album "The Man From Utopia". Now Zappa's are back! Not only Dweezil and Diva, this time also the eldest daughter Unit Moon, Gail (Frank's wife) and her little niece, are coming to Palermo and to the little sicilian city of Partinico. The second act of the connection of a whole family with their origin land in the name of the father: Frank Zappa.

'Summer '82 - When Zappa Came to Sicily' is a 'homecoming story' of two families, Sicilian filmmaker Salvo Cuccia's and the family of Sicilian-American Rock icon Frank Zappa. Cuccia's story explores the unexpected intersection of the filmmaker, and the Zappa family, as they each try to reconnect with fathers who died young.
