A typographic realisation of Nicolas Winding Refn's most popular films, 'Drive', 'Only God Forgives', 'Bronson' and 'Valhalla Rising'.
My work offers a minimalistic overview of not only the films, but the characters, their intentions, as well as the overall themes and motifs contained within Refn's films. It was designed as a progressive piece, from scripting on the front page to critique in the final pages. The works were created using wood block types and water-soluble ink, transferred onto paper and cardboard through the use of a letterpress.
