Generative wall paper
The amazing thing about creating images with programming is that minor changes in the code can have drastic effects in the output - for better and for worse. Sometimes, typos can open a door to a completely different idea.

The initial code was just a daily practice, and became more interesting to me once I limited the palette to the orange and yellow range. Each execution of the program generates slight different images.
I then saved a few of the images generated by the algorithm and created a pattern in Illustrator.

Remix it yourself
The original source code for the motif of the pattern was written in javascript. It is relatively simple, with a few tens line of code. I made it open source, which means anyone can reuse and remix it. You can find it at https://editor.p5js.org/haschdl/sketches/aMN_-thda
