Visual identity for L'artigiana, an artisan bakery founded by Catalina Londoño in Medellín - Colombia. For the client was important to have a woman in the logo and to express all the care and passion she feels when she is baking breads. Also she told me to have something from nature because her kitchen is located in a field where she is able to collect organic ingredients from her neighborhoods. In one of our meetings her oldest daughter was playing with a toy and she showed us in the screen this very uncommon teddy beetle which she adores. So I drew a beetle in the illustration. Sometimes the visual system is so simple, literal and beautiful. It reflects the objects, situations and spaces that the brand is surrounded by. The letterforms have a lot of flourishes because I thought in the movement of the dough when you are making it.
