People who own a mac tend to get all worked up about on the tiniest scratch, but on the other hand they still believe the myth that no harm can come to their device in the form of viruses and malware. Well.. these days it just seems smarter to have some protection, right?
Airo is not your average anti-virus program. It is lightweight and friendly. It aims to provide Mac users with the hassle free experience they are used to getting from today's apps and services.
Above all else, our main guideline in creating Airo’s brand identity was to shoutout "not an anti virus!". Creating the brand while also designing the product UX allowed us to make sure both are as friendly as advertised. Creating these typographic germs in motion set the tone for the entire graphic language. Later in the process it proved to be an anchor for both the client and ourselves in our many discussions regarding different decisions. It kept reminding us what sort of company and product we aim for.
