A resume often gives most young creatives the impression that it is uninteresting to create/ read and is often wordy. With that, most resumes out there are often submitted in dull-looking Word documents. I also realised most of my friends around me neglected creating a proper resume during their job-hunting.

Just Another Day is the title of my artwork I designed for my resume.

Every year, the creative industry sees batches of fresh graduates emerging from arts/ design schools looking to secure a job. Apart from the top graduates, the remaining graduates face a great deal of challenge to emerge distinctively as an ideal candidate to their prospect company; they are probably being seen as just another designer.

Building onto this notion of new blood in the industry, I was inspired to craft my resume in the form of a traditional Chinese tear-off calendar with an accompanying tagline, "Just another day. Just another designer." There are 7 days in a week; 30 days in a month; 365 days in a year. However, every day is an unknown opportunity waiting to be discovered.

I illustrate myself as one of the day (designer) in the calendar year (batch of jobseekers), highlighting on my skills as a visual communicator. The green hue also subtly hints on my recent completion of full-time national service.

Normal people spend days. Successful people see opportunity in every day.
