Veterinary Textbook Illustrations
The following illustrations were done for the textbook "Infectious Diseases of the Dog and Cat: A Color Handbook" (Weese, Evason) 2019.

The editors desired a more approachable and entertaining illustration style for what can be a 'dry' subject. As a former veterinary internist myself I was able to work with the editors to determine what they were trying to communicate with each image and help not only with visual representation, but also bringing an element of visual storytelling to the process and helping with conceptualization of more subtle nuances within the images.

All illustrations (except the Sporotrichosis painting) were designed as full vector images on request from the publisher.
Sporotrichosis (Rose Gardener's Disease) - Lesions on cat and human.
The client desired a more representative image of the lesions associated with this disease as they did not have access to a photograph in this case.
Life Cycle of Enterococcus
This parasite lifecycle was treated as a comic-style multipanel story instead of the more traditional graph-like lifecycle diagram)
Lifecycle of Heterobilharzia
