The Starting Point

Oscar Mamooi is an eyewear brand created by the homonymous designer. In 2020, his first, fearless collection was launched.

Inspired by Iceland and its lowlands, the collection features asymmetrical frames reminding the unpredictability of icebergs and the smoothness of ice.

The Idea

The colour effects, the wait, and the overwhelming feelings make Iceland a timeless place.

The northern lights are the phenomenon which best synthetises such a unique reality.

Through the use of lights and framing, we replicated the northern lights’ dreamlike atmosphere: the perfect environment to enhance the design of Mamooi’s frames.
