Maribel Ortega es una soprano sencilla, natural y humilde, que trata de transmitir dulzura, emoción, ritmo y paz a través de su voz. El objetivo que se nos planteaba era crear una identidad visual sólida que lograra por un lado, posicionarla en España pero, con la posibilidad de expandirse en la realización de obras internacionales. Por otro lado lograr que su repertorio base crezca y además, ser docente.

Maribel Ortega is a simple, natural and humble soprano who tries to transmit sweetness, emotion, rhythm and peace through her voice. The objective was to create a solid visual identity that would, on the one hand, position her in Spain but, on the other hand, allow her to expand into international works. On the other hand, to make its base repertoire grow and also to be a teacher.

La marca ofrece y transmite musicalidad bajo las ideas y formas que tiene la persona de transmitir su música. En la fase conceptual del proyecto, estudiamos a otros compañeros de profesión y llegamos a la conclusión de que la diferencia reside en la construcción de una historia, es decir, en la formación de una relación entre la marca y el público, un hecho que no tienen el resto de sopranos.

The brand offers and transmits musicality under the ideas and forms that the person has to transmit his music. In the conceptual phase of the project, we studied other colleagues and came to the conclusion that the difference lies in the construction of a story, that is, in the formation of a relationship between the brand and the public, a fact that other sopranos do not have.

Para crear esta estrategia de marca queríamos lograr que el público, a través de un diseño minimalista sienta la dulzura musical y el elitismo de la ópera. Para ello hemos buscado las respuestas en la historia, en la que encontramos al tenor Gilbert Duprez que fue el primero en dar un “do” con voz de pecho, por ello el icono de la “O” que representa la inicial del apellido de Maribel Ortega, se ha diseñado con la representación gráfica de un “do” en el lenguaje musical. Gilbert nos llevó a Maria Callas quien revivió el Bel Canto, y que fue una inspiración para Maribel en el desarrollo de su carrera. También nos inspiramos en otros artistas como Verdi o Rossini. Para llevar acabo el proyecto hemos usado la tipografía Noe Display Bold que nos recuerda a la ópera, pero bajo una perspectiva más moderna. Los colores utilizados son el negro que nos recuerda a la elegancia de la ópera, el blanco a la transparencia natural que muestra la soprano. Centrándonos en la actividad docente, que esta gran artista quiere transmitir a través de su agencia, hemos utilizado el color cereza que nos recuerda a la expresión dulce, que nos transmite con su voz.

To create this brand strategy we wanted to make the public feel the musical sweetness and elitism of the opera through a minimalist design. To do this, we looked for the answers in history, in which we found the tenor Gilbert Duprez who was the first to give a “C” in a bosom voice. For this reason, the icon of the “O” that represents the initial of Maribel Ortega’s surname was designed with the graphic representation of a “C” in musical language. Gilbert took us to Maria Callas who revived the Bel Canto, and who was an inspiration to Maribel in the development of her career. We were also inspired by other artists such as Verdi or Rossini. To carry out the project we used the Noe Display Bold typeface that reminds us of opera, but from a more modern perspective. The colors used are black, which reminds us of the elegance of the opera, and white, of the natural transparency shown by the soprano. Focusing on the teaching activity, which this great artist wants to transmit through his agency, we have used the cherry color that reminds us of the sweet expression, which transmits us with his voice.
