Illustrated Lugger Logo Animation
The task was to make an illustrated logo for a trading company. The initial logo presented a three masted lugger. The logo should have been refreshed and enlivened with motion.
Logo creating process
Decision stood for adding some volume to the flat lugger shape staying within flat style, putting it onto waves and adding some swing to the hull.

Photoreference of the ship to create final version of the logo was taken from the website of Classic Sailing Ltd based in the United Kingdom. Grayhound is a replica of a traditional 18th century ship which used to be a revenue vessel and became a fast privateer.
Grayhound quickly became known as a ground breaking vessel at the forefront of green transport and a sail cargo revolution. She set up regular cargo runs with guest crew helping transport organic wine and beer between Britain and France, as well as adventure voyages.
