The demolition of the Morandi Bridge. A piece of Italian history showcased in a video and a book for Omini SpA.
After handling the wreckage of the Costa Concordia ship, Omini SpA was appointed another demolition that the Italian population, unfortunately, has well engraved in their hearts and memory: the Morandi Bridge, collapsed on the 14th August 2018, which not only marked the history of Genova but that of the entire nation.
A construction site which lasted 7 months and with a series of critical issues that had to be solved: size, fragility and structural instability, the concern for the citizens’ safety, the surroundings and the urban context as well as a tight timeframe. All aspects that were managed by Omini SpA with surgical precision and attention to the last detail. An immense yet delicate job, narrated in two assets developed by Cacao Design – a video and a monograph – with a huge emotional impact, not so much for their curated design but, rather, for the very strong imagery that was collected for the entire duration of the construction works to show the extra-high technical and professional skills of Omini SpA.
