CarpéFigure™ is a local Nigerian cap washing and kaftan laundry business developed in Abuja, 2020. Local cap washing and kaftan laundry have been art forms in themselves native to Arewa—Nigeria dating back to pre-Colonial times. The approach to branding CarpéFigure™ involved adopting vintage logo styles to reflect the age of the craft and also fuse with local elements like a Northern man crowned with a native cap encapsulated by a palace gate. The word-mark and heading font were also influenced by the same ageless feature.
