MANTIS field sprayer
Mantis is a field sprayer designed to expand a family of agricultural machinery. The characteristic design features of these vehicles were analyzed and then applied to the new vehicle.
Concept
The design of this agricultural machine is meant to add to an exisiting product family of two combine harvesters. As a starting point, both machines were visualized in reduced vector graphics crystalizing the most important design features for the product family. For the first sketches the package of a standard field sprayer was used as an underlay.
Modelling
The key sketch was then again translated to a vector graphic to compare it to the combine harvesters and refined further regarding its proportions and lines. The final draft was then 3D-modelled using a rough 3D field sprayer package.
Rendering
The finished CAD model was then rendered for presentation.
