Asakura cask-aged barley spirits
Asakura barley shochu is a barrel-aged spirit which is comparable to a whiskey, except it is fermented with koji as opposed to malts. This project begun as the design of a brochure promoting the limited production run of a few different cask finishes for the 8 year-old spirit. These different products were also briefly available as a sampler set, so was born my concept of such set.
Anchoring the story in whiskey tasting, Glencairn-style sealed containers would be the vessels in which the Asakura spirits are presented. A premium experience that is meant to put Asakura products and its proud producers at an elevated level in the Japanese spirits industry.
