Aldo Gomez, a young Angelino who grew up in East Hollywood, LA, helped cement the intricate relationship between art and skateboarding. Growing up in a rough neighborhood, he chose skateboarding over gang life, a conscious choice through which he forged timeless friendships and developed a passion for art. Skateboarding was his way out, his path to a life free of the routine violence so many of his early peers became a part of.
