Visual identity DDA Case study 




For the visual identity of the Dutch Design Awards George&Harrison created a visual language that embraces the organization's position as an institute where Dutch Design is put on a pedestal and in perspective. With the design of the 2020 physical award it was important for us that the design would achieve the same. We set out to design an award that would be instantly recognizable as a 3D interpretation of the visual identity but would also be intriguing as an object in itself. A Design that's no-nonsense, monumental and with a pinch of magic and wonder to it. 




Due to the COVID-19 situation the 2020 Dutch Design Awards was not able to host their yearly award night to celebrate all the winners and nominees. In stead of this the DDA hosted a daily online show where the designers would give some background info on their projects and profiles. Watch all episodes on the website of the Dutch Design Week (English subs available).
