Itaewon Class is a South Korean drama adapted from webtoon with the same title, streaming worldwide on Netflix. It tells the story of an ex-convict who's struggling with his tough life while reaching his dream to be successful in culinary industry. I was hooked to this drama since the first episode. The lead characters--Park Sae Ro Yi and Jo Yi Seo--are bold. They're smart, strong, fearless, and such a badass. I love the storyline and how it portrays the connection between each characters as a solid team.

LEAD CHARACTERS
It's started with sketches and choosing color palette.
Park Sae Ro Yi, the lead character. He's the CEO of DamBam Pub, Honey Night Restaurant, and Itaewon Class corp. When he got nervous or feeling awkward over something, he's always pat his own head. I think that's very cute so I draw him doing that gesture.
Jo Yi Seo, manager of Sae Ro Yi's pub, restaurant, and corporation. She may look childish but her personality is way opposite from that. I love her fashion style, so I draw her wearing stacked necklace like the one she wore in a clubbing scene.

BUILDING

Sae Ro Yi opened a small pub in Itaewon and named it DanBam. He worked hard right after he got released from jail and saving money to reach his dream. Although it's small, there are so many stories and memories here. I draw the facade in a dusk scene to represent DanBam's beautiful lights.
