So You Think You Can Plant - iBook Process

From the start of this project, I knew that I wanted to create a book to help people where were new to plants get started and be successful. I have become a little addicted to plant care and have fully become a mom to 17 plants. So, I wanted to help others succeed as well.

I knew I wanted it to be very cute and illustrated with nice, light colors, to match the aesthetic that usually comes with plant shops and plant lovers. I also wanted to keep it simple and clear, rather than putting too much information in it that would simply confuse people. I created a mood board based on the styles I enjoy and the typography I would like to emulate.
Following my mood board, I experimented with different designs that I based off of a combination of looks that I had gathered. I wanted simplicity with a cute addition on each letter. I came up with my first attempt and later edited it a few times to make use of the space and keep in my hierarchy of scale with the words.
Final Cover
The final product is simple and allows for people of all ages to learn about the easy plants to start out with and then test their knowledge at the end.
