Screen Printed Lebron James Illustration

King James! The final illustration in the series. Now let's be clear, MJ is the GOAT and that is where my loyalties will always lie. Kobe is next in line, 81 point in a game and 5 rings, not much else I can say. And then there’s LeBron. I will openly admit that I haven’t always been a fan, but he can’t be denied, he’s definitely in the conversation. I did intentionally choose a pic of him in as a Cav. The man went back home, broke the curse and won a Championship for Cleveland!

I went back to Draw again for this illustration. So many folks around the world are using it because it's FREE and I love the idea of people having access to an amazing app like Draw. The pic needed to be LeBron in Cleveland, winning a championship for his hometown, but more importantly, it worked well for the complementary color theme of the series, blue and orange. As always, I look for teachable moments and my students just finished up their own screen printing projects. This was a perfect opportunity to show them what is possible when printing. Once I finished the illustration in Draw I took it to Illustrator to clean up and prep the art.

I planned from the beginning, so it was a much easier prep my layers and colors to print in Draw. It would be another 6 color print, just like Kobe and one less than Jordan. The paper was 100 lb cover stock from French Paper Co. I used Speedball Acrylic Screen Printing Inks.

I am selling 15 prints of my King James Illustration!
If you enjoy my work and are interested in purchasing one of the posters for $100, please shoot me a message and we can connect.

Enjoy!
