Originally made for a duo exhibition with illustrator Andy Calabozo in Galeria Dama Aflita, Porto.
We wanted to explore Minho province folklore characters. I focused on the Tardo and Andy on the Piopardo.
The Tardo is a character from northern Portugal folklore who transforms himself into various animals and likes messing with people. I heard some of this stories from my grandmother Aida and others where found in old portuguese ethnography books and on the web.
