A personal study project looking to simplify a system-architecture inspired logo, that of Tibco’s Cloud Bus Integration software. The work was inspired having spent several days in 2013 researching cloud solutions for my then employer and being surprised that complex IT solutions seemed to be without emotive branding.

As the project was a personal one, I was able to take certain liberties that the original designer may not have been able to—the dropping of an one of the ellipsis in the lower bar (four in mine, rather than five). 

There was an intention to look at a motion-graphic, with the lower bar and circles morphing/forming to become the cloud—although as this was a diversion-project it was never completed.

The initial logo, and the Tibco logo are copyright and trademarks of Tibco Software Inc., 2013, used here under fair-dealing/fair-use principles. Unfortunately I am unable to pay credit to the original designer. The typefaces used for the tagline are the Font Bureau’s Tasse Wide Regular, and Tasse Extended Bold by G. J. Nelson, 1994.
