"Sisters in Craft"
Logo design for an NGO based in the Midlands who offer a service of handcrafted decorations by a group of talented crafters. Decorations range from Christmas tree ornaments to beaded goods.
The brief was to incorporate a silhouette of a woman in a traditional African head rest, while also using some elements of the Zulu Love letter beads. The reflected head is to represent more than one "sister" in craft. Colours to use were shades of blue, red, and oranges.
* What is a Zulu love letter?
Zulu Love Letters are beaded messages given as symbols of love and affection. The Zulu are the largest ethnic group in South Africa, and are known for their beadwork, which can be used to convey many different messages.
