Editorial Publication | bachelor project
The publication aims to document and present the role of women in Egypt throughout different decades and how they challenged stereotypical gender roles. Also, present the journey of some powerful females and their achievements to inspires girls and women to believe they can be whatever they want, allow them to have a stronger and better developmental prospects. This is just a sample of kind of the women who existed and still exist in Egypt.
Each chapter covered different events and powerful female's roles. Typically women get inspired to do something when they see other women like them do it, they find it easier to imagine themselves in those roles and put themselves forward.
The publication includes six chapters, starting from women in ancient Egypt till women in late modern Egypt. Each chapter will cover women in different period in Egypt. And since the project aims to document how women were in past and how they are now, I interviewed Egyptian women living now in Egypt to understand more their personalities, challenges and opinions.
