I have photographed  Ariana Aerialsoul before. That photoshoot took place in her dance studio, in a closed and contained space. Although her movement was magical and her aerial dancing awe-insipiring, I had the distinct impression that I was taking pictures of a caged bird. 

 

This time, I had the opportunity to photograph her in the outdoors, in a dockyard in Thessaloniki. As she swang from a construction crane, the universe seemed to conspire in her favour and she was in her element. She was airborn! The wind undulated the cloth she was swinging from, and also created a cinematic backdrop, herding photogenic clouds in the sky behind her. The setting sun enhanced the excitement of the moment.
