Blood Tamari is a concept based on Japan's recent events associated with the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. The simplicity of the Japanese flag is always inspiring and that's the main reason I decided to materialize my idea using a simple method. The "red sun" is actually a photograph of tamari sauce drops in olive oil. Every drop symbolises a scar, a scream, a stain, something people will never forget. But there's always hope and a new sun will rise again!
