Lately I've been obsessing over my business cards like I was in American Psycho. While I know they aren't all that relevant in the digital age where your information is instantly transmitted into someone's address book where it is buried out of sight in a sea of data, it's surprising how often I actually use them.
It turns out that there are a lot of old schoolers out there who actually apreciate having something tangable to touch and feel. After you collect a few you can quickly see and feel the time and effort that goes into quality cards. Metal, plastic, foils and high quality papers can really make an impression that e-mail just can't.
As for this design. I spent the past couple weeks coming back and removing all the unnecessary artifacts and decided on this simple look. This is my latest concept that I'm sending to the printers.
As you can see, the final cards came back from the printers and I'm VERY happy with the results. They have a very solid feel to them.
Some stats for the curious:
Black and white paper duplexed
Foiled edges and logo
Debossed logos on each side
Only had them for a day and I have gotten some very positive feedback. Which makes the investment worth it.
Big thank you to Denis Mallet for his printing expertise!
