Astroworld: Digital Collage is an ongoing series of conceptual collages built around Travis Scott's third album Astroworld, released in 2018.
Song lyrics set the theme for each piece, with finished works expressing surrealism, etherealism, fantasy, and religious iconography.
Commandments is an animated update of the collage They Did Not Create Commandments (2019). The piece originates with the song STOP TRYING TO BE GOD in which Scott addresses maintaining integrity while at the top.
Commandments takes a literal approach, imagining Scott as Moses called into ascension by God, (also Scott) with the holy commandments enchantingly levitating around the saint. The event occurs high above the peaks of Mt. Sinai, where the commandments were given to Moses by God.
