Our brief was to remodel the first floor of an old 19th century factory for the office of advertising agency, which structure should has sent more to the centre of contemporary art, rather than to the traditional office. It was necessary to create a vibrant dynamic modern style, a bit ironic at the same time, that would cover and integrate all office space, confidently dividing it into several functional areas, that would stimulate a creative thinking.
A first floor office - is a showcase, showing the face of the street, and the entrance is a high-power trailblazing centre. There is a reserpine at the entrance that divides employees from the guests of the agency who came to a meeting or just to visit a cafe.
Red dynamic structure on it's very peak plays the role of the reception and the bar, as it grows out of the walls of the building. Then it develops among the space, and gaining strength, focuses the attention on itself and after transforms into another spaces, weakens and disappears completely, leaving only a little emphasis.
This artistic design of the project is the answer to a challenging layout, when we had to deal with the impossibility to transfer many of the walls and rooms due to an engineering communications already held in the old building. The red structure is a navigator for office visitors. In workplaces it almost disappears transforming into a simple cubic form. To create a new ideas, agency requires a stylistic purity of space.
The materials used in the project: the construction of plasterboard on metal frame, artificial stone, MDF.
