JUKE PACKAGING DESIGN • Ensue

Ensue is the first restaurant in China led by Chef Christopher Kostow, one of the world’s elite chefs who has maintained the highest honor in the culinary world of three Michelin stars for over 9 years. Ensue represents Chef Kostow’s latest evolution, blending California farm-to-table culture and techniques with Cantonese tastes and ingredients. The menu at Ensue pays respect to the local products, unique palate and culinary traditions.

For 2020 Mid-Autumn Festival, Ensue prepared handmade mooncakes with four creative flavours featuring only the most outstanding produce China has to offer—chestnut, taro root, lotus seed, sesame, egg yolk, osmanthus, pumpkin and more…
The ingredients are interpreted with the technique of botanical illustration to evoke the restaurant’s pursuit of sourcing only the freshest local produce. When the wooden box is uncased, it reveals graphics in silver stamping, mimicking the shinning moonlight shrouding the traditional Chinese festival that symbolises family reunion.
