"The Child's Eyes" is a series of works focused on the perspective of children when discovering the world around them. This idea came to me when reflecting upon how I felt when I visited my old elementary school, how tall the ceilings seemed and how vast the hallways were back then, whereas in reality they are rather small. I wanted to capture the perspective that children see the world through, and these animals are what represents that. These animals, which are normally small, now are vastly larger, and in doing so, I wanted to show how children's relentless curiosity guides them on their adventures to discover. I aimed for each set to show the meeting of the animal and the child and then how they interact, giving light to how children adapt and interact with this huge world they are faced with.
