Senior Design Manager / Site Architect with Jacobs International 2011 to 2012
A world class destination shopping mall and the largest and most exciting shopping center in Abu Dhabi, the mall located at yas island & linked to the Ferrari World development by a pedestrian boulevard, the mall include around 360 retail unites ,14 number cinemas, family entertainment zone and food court .
The gross built area for this prestigious project is 240 257 –SM, include over 9000 car parking spaces., with approximate Construction Cost around AED. 2 Billion.
My roles:
Liaison with the client (ALDAR) and tenants in order to manage the design / redesign work progress.
Liaison with the architects and design team (AECOM) to ensure providing the required design intent.
Review the overall of design to ensure completion and correctness.
Review AECOM respond on main contractor (SIXCO) RFI's to ensure about correctness, completion of answering all points and to identify RFI’s answers which lead to additional cost.
Ensure that AECOM and all sub-Consultants produce the required deliverables required under their appointments.
Review AECOM IFC drawings related to redesign to ensure of the quality, completeness and that its addressing all the requirements and redesign intent.
Assessing the impact of design changes (suggested by main contractor SIXCO) on the projects time, cost, quality, or other relevant element.
Managing of Estidama certification process,and ensure the target standard of two Pearls is achieved at Yas Mall.
Ensure that the design programme produced by AECOM and other consultants is coordinate with the SIXCO construction programs.
