So I've been thinking a lot about how to better use my website. I realized that, for a visual artist, I have an awful lot of words up there and decided to try to redesign downstairsup.com to be a very visual but still user friendly site that I can use to focus more on my work.

This is the idea I have had churning in my head for a while but have put it off because of a fear of code.
I am still focusing on the layout here but thought I'd run it though those at Behance to hopefully get some input.
My ultimate goal on this will be to have each of the four categories to slide open on a rollover state and contain samples of different pieces I have done for each of these categories along with a clickable link to take the visitor to a gallery of that topic.
This would be the "open" state for the "design" category.
I do have a question on this though for those that might stop by. I am still learning the HTML5 so I am not sure if this is possible using that or not. Do you have any suggestion on the best way to accomplish this? Also, feel free to comment or critique my idea on this. The more feedback the better.

Thanks!
