“Stereotype Show” includes a series of Zhang Yinan’s collage works created from the contrast of fragment and entirety. Stereotype as fragmental cultural symbols are given new implication when put in a new whole. Every chapter of the “show” is a deconstruction of the original stereotype, as well as a reconstruction of artist’s understanding of different culture.
