The first sketches of those graphics were created during two years I've spent in Gowanus
Space Studio in New York. The cycle represents the four bridges that connect
the two neighbourhoods I most visited: Brooklyn and Manhattan. Bridges became an excuse to create my personal New York City mandalas.
Bridges concentrate the energy of both districts that are symmetrical to each other and they mark the axis of that symmetry.
I tried to capture the dynamics of New York in my work, organising its chaos in my own way. Enchanting the space helped me to personalise this place who simultaneously became less alien for me.
