The Setmana del Llibre en Català is a cultural event organized by the Booksellers' Guild of Mallorca since 1989. It consists of a meeting between publishers, bookstores, writers and readers in Catalan in which activities around reading are scheduled: presentations and book signings, round tables, children's shows and recitals. We developed the concept, the graphic image, the materials for the event and a campaign inspired by the figure of the theologian, philosopher, poet and alchemist Ramon Llull, whose 700th death aniversary was being commemorated.
Ramon Llull's vision of society was still disruptive and contemporary 700 years later, so we decided to take his words as the motto of the Setmana del Llibre en Català. We commissioned the project's graphic design to Damià Rotger, who had designed the Lullian typeface after studying Ramón Llull's calligraphy for years.
To amplify the campaign in media and social media we have a selection of prescribers who hung large posters with their favorite phrases of Ramon Llull in the streets of Palma. In addition to the posters, we gave away personalized Facebook and Twitter headers that a selection of influencers shared on their social networks during the week of the event.
