Project: Team Liquid Valorant

Introducing Team Liquid VALORANT
I had the pleasure on this project to work with Team Liquid and 1UPGG Studios to create one of my best pieces of work. I was commissioned by them to create a montage for a new Valorant team.
They had seen my project 'Breakdown' and wanted something similar focusing on the skills of the players [frags] and some 3D cinematics. But I wanted to raise the standards of what was normally done for announcements. I wanted to give each player their frag section in the edit and introduce their main character in a 3D cinematics to show what they can do on their own and then showcase a montage of them playing as a team to show what they can do together. This was new as it gave it a storyline and built hype and tension within the edit to keep the audience engaged. When choosing the frags I would only select ones that I knew would both wow the audience but also would aide telling the story so it flows nicely between players and frags. It wasn't about showcasing the players it was about making a cinematic experience to make everyone look at Liquid, which it did as the view count stands at over 1.5 million views on Twitter and over 600K on Youtube. When I was creating the edit I wanted to make the focus on Team Liquid as I knew that this was going to grab everyone's attention. A way I did this was by suggesting that we make Valorant skins dedicated to Team Liquid. I worked closely with the 1UPGG Studios team so we could perfect the designs I created in 3D so that they represent the brand of Team Liquid. It was creative choices like this that helped up the standard and create something that has never been seen before.

Behind The Scenes:
I did not model the characters, and some parts of the map but instead I replace textures, manipulate certain things from the map, create the camera movements and tried to tell a story using 3D world about certain parts of the frags/footage that was provided to me. Animations, some are from the game others I did it myself. While working on the teaser, I wanted to create as well custom skins for Liquid to make it more unique and different, a lot of hours were put into changing customs to fit the team color palette.

After the edit went public, it received massive positive feedback. I want to thank Liquid/1UPGG Studios for providing me with the motivation and support to create this project in one month by myself. And I am beyond grateful to say that I am now signed with them.

I made this announcement gif for my socials and I just want to say thank you for everyone who liked and shared the project.
